Process of Coated Tarps
Step 1: Raw Material Selection
The first step in the Coated Tarps production process is the selection of high-quality polyethylene resin. Polyethylene, a thermoplastic polymer, is chosen for its excellent strength, flexibility, and resistance to weathering.
Step 2: Extrusion Molding and weave fabric
After the selected resin, it undergoes the extrusion process. During extrusion, the polyethylene resin is heated to a molten state and then forced through a die to create a continuous film. Then use a water loom to weave the base fabric.
Step 3: Coating
To improve the tarpaulin’s performance and durability, a coating is applied to both sides of the weave fabric. This coating is made of low-density polyethylene and is often laminated onto the sheet. The coating process not only adds strength and tear resistance but also imparts UV resistance and waterproofing properties to the tarpaulin.
Step 4: Color and Printing
Coated Tarps are manufactured with specific colors or printed designs for branding or identification purposes. In this step, pigments are added to the resin to achieve the desired color. If printing is required, a specialized printing process is used to apply logos, text, or patterns onto the tarpaulin’s surface.
Step 5: Cutting

Step 6: Quality Control
