Covered Wagon Truck Tarp for 102" Wide Flatbed Trailer with Side Kit
Covered wagon is a popular style of tarp for flatbed trailers that have a side kit installed. Side kits are walls that can be installed on a flatbed trailer to enclose the cargo. Bows span across the trailer to help support these walls as well as to provide structure for the tarp that will act as a roof. These tarps are known as a covered wagon and will be fitted to match the shape of the side kit.
Our standard covered wagon tarp is designed to fit trailers with a short bow in the front and full height bows behind that. It will be constructed out of 18-ounce vinyl coated polyester which has proven to be the best fabric choice for this style of tarp. Covered wagon tarps hang 15" over the front and sides. In the rear a 57" long tail flap will be shaped to match the bow. A pair of dog ears will hold the tarp sides closed across the rear of the trailer. The perimeter of the tarp will be folded creating a 2-ply hem. This hem is reinforced using 2" heavy duty polypro webbing. Brass locking spur #2 grommet are machine punched in the corners plus every 24" around the hem. New tie ropes will be preinstalled on all the passenger side grommets.

Measurements needed for a custom fit covered wagon tarp
The width across the front bulkhead.
On the side of the trailer the distance from the front bulkhead to the back of the first full height bow .
In the center of the trailer the distance from the bulkhead to the back side of the first full height bow.
The distance from the back side of the first full height bow to the back side of the last bow .
The amount of rise on the last bow.
Distance across the last bow (top of the side kit up and over to the other side).
